Little Brown Rock is very unhappy with himself: he hates being a rock. By chance his wishes are granted, and he transforms into the bodies of a mushroom, then a flower, then a butterfly and finally a tree. Neither one of these forms makes him feel contented. Only after he turns into a crystal - which was his initial form - he becomes fulfilled and happy.
